EXT. TEXAS DESERT ROAD - DAY (FLASHFORWARD)

The evening sun hovers over the barren Texan landscape. Tumbleweed pitter-patters like an Old Wild West picture. Amongst the emptiness, a Rusty Dodge Power Wagon moves along

the road.

INT./EXT. RUSTY DODGE POWER WAGON - NIGHT (FLASHFORWARD)

An OLD NAVAJO MAN, with a tortured, weathered face is driving. The Voice of MAN is on the radio.

MAN (V.O.)

“What’s the matter?”, the Coyote

asked. “I’m starving”, the woman

replied, “and too weak to walk.

What are you doing with that

stick?”. “I’m going to kill Giant

with it. Where is Giant?”, said

Coyote. The woman laughed. “You’re

already in the giant’s belly”.

Old Navajo Man reaches for his tobacco pot. He takes a handful and chews. A newspaper on the passenger’s seat reads:

‘LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLENT BANK BUST’.

MAN (V.O.)

The Coyote was surprised: “How can

I be in his belly? I haven’t even

met him”. The woman smiled - “You

probably thought it was a cave when

you walked into his mouth. It’s

easy to walk in, but nobody ever

walks out. This giant is so big.

His belly fills a whole valley”,

said the woman as she walked away.

Traditional Navajo music plays on the radio. Old Navajo Man spits the tobacco out of the window. A

Greater Roadrunner - a small and speedy bird - lands on the roof of the wagon.

Old Navajo Man reaches for more tobacco. Chews. He begins to choke and cough violently. Eyes off the road.

EXT. TEXAS DESERT ROAD - NIGHT (FLASHFORWARD)

A Black Cadillac is swerving towards the Wagon in the opposite lane. The Power Wagon is also swerving. The two vehicles graze each other quite violently. The Wagon crashes into the rail lining the road.

The Greater Roadrunner coo-coos and then flies away.

The Black Cadillac grinds to a halt, in the middle of the road.
